When my three-year-old nephew Will visited last year, New Mark – a volunteer firefighter – took him for a ride on a fire truck. Since then, Will has decided to be a fireman when he grows up.
When New Mark and I arrived at Will’s fourth birthday party, Will approached us and said, “New Mark…” Pausing, he glanced back to his Dad for encouragement. Evidently, he had a burning question that could impact his career choice which he had been repeatedly asking his Dad over the past few months.
“Go ahead,” his father prompted. “Ask him.”
“New Mark,” Will said, “Do firemen drink chocolate milk?”
New Mark’s response… “Of course!”
